Shining Star-CHAPTER TWELVE
"Wow." Kevin said, "Is the baby ok?"
"Yeah, the baby's fine." Adrianne replied, "I almost had a miscarriage though. But the doctor says everything looks ok."
Kevin hugged his little sister and then spoke, "You have to tell AJ."
Adrianne looked at Kevin nervously, "I...I can't"
Kevin was suprized, "Adrianne! AJ has to know. He's the father."
A small tear ran down Adrianne's cheek, "I'm afraid. Alex probably never wants to talk to me again. What if he doesn't want the baby?"
"Of course he will!" Kevin said, "You should get some rest. I'm gonna go talk to the guys. I'll be back in a little while."
Kevin walked down the hall to the waiting room, but was stoped by a doctor.
"Kevin, can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure" Kevin replied.
The doctor sighed, "If Adrianne doesn't calm down, she will most likely lose the baby."
Kevin walked into the waiting room.
Brian, Nick, and Howie all stood up.
"Well, what's wrong with Adrianne?" Nick asked.
"She's pregnant." Kevin replied.
Brian's jaw dropped, "Are you serious?"
"Yes" Kevin told him, "The doctor said if Adrianne doesn't calm down, she's gonna have a miscarriage."
"Can we see her?" Howie asked.
Kevin nodded no, "She needs to get some sleep."
"She needs AJ." Nick said.
"Yeah" Kevin replied, "Ok listen guys, I'm gonna go get AJ. If Adrianne asks where I am, tell her....um.... I dunno! Just make something up."

Kevin drove the twenty minutes to AJ's house. He knocked on the door.
"AJ, it's me Kevin. Let me in."
"NO!" AJ shouted, "Go away!"
Kevin knocked on the door again, "It's really important."
AJ finally opend the door, "Well if you're gonna come in, come in."
Kevin entered and was suprized at what he saw. There were clothes and broken glass everywhere.
"I don't wanna talk about Adrianne." AJ said, "Ya know, this is probably your fault. You never wanted me and her to be together."
"No, not at first." Kevin replied, "But then I realized youu're the best thing that's ever happend to her. I never saw her so happy then when she was with you."
Kevin stoped because he noticed a hole in the wall. Right next to it appeared to be a blood stain.
"What the hell happend?" Kevin asked.
"I punched my fist through the wall." AJ said, "What does it look like?"
Kevin spoke again, "Listen AJ, you gotta stop this. Adrianne really needs you right now."
"Yeah right." AJ replied, "She doesn't need me."
"Yeah she does." Kevin said, "It's really important."
"What is it?" AJ asked.
Kevin looked at him, "I really think Adrianne should be the one to tell you."
"GOD DAMN IT!" AJ shouted, "Kev, just tell me!"
Kevin sighed, "Adrianne's pregnant."
AJ's eyes widend, "WHAT? Are you kidding me?"
"No I'm not." Kevin said.
"Where is she?" AJ asked.
"She's in the hospital." Kevin told him.
"Oh my god!" AJ said, "Is Adrianne ok? Is the baby ok?"
"They're fine." Kevin replied, "But if Adrianne keeps on getting upset, she's gonna have a miscarriage. That's why you ave to get to the hospital right now. You're the only one that can calm her down."
AJ grabbed his jacket and he and Kevin walked out of the house.

AJ ran into the hospital and toward Adrianne's room.
"Sir, what do you think you're doing?" a doctor asked harshly.
"That's my girlfriend in there!" AJ replied.
"Oh" the doctor said, "You must be Alex. I apologize. You can go in. But please, don't make her upset."
Kevin turned to AJ and said, "I'm gonna go back to the waiting room. Good luck."
Adrianne heard a knock on the door. She turned and saw that it was AJ.
"Leave me alone!" Adrianne said.
AJ walked ove to Adrianne and sat by her bed.
"No" he said, "I'm never leving you again. Kevin told me you're pregnant."
"Listen Alex." Adrianne said, "I have no problem raising this baby on my own. Besides, you probably don't even want it."
"Of course I do." AJ said to her, "It's our baby. Adrianne, no matter what you say, I know you still love me. I'll prove it to you."
AJ grabbed Adrianne's face and pressed his lips against hers. Adrianne kissed him back intensly.
After a minute, Adrianne broke the kiss and said, "But Liz..."
AJ rolled his eyes, "Forget about her. Stop thinking about other people for once. You're a good person Adrianne. But it's ok to be selfish once in a while. Wat do YOU want?"
Adrianne looked at him, "I wanna be with you."
AJ smiled and hugged her.
"I love you Alex." Adrianne said.
"I love you Adrianne." AJ said. He kissed Adrianne's forehead and then leaned down and kissed her stomach, "And I love you too."
AJ hopped onto the bed and he and Adrianne cuddled together for a few minutes. They talked about names for the baby.
Then AJ said, "I'm gonna go talk to the guys for a minute. I'll be right back." He kissed Adrianne and walked out of the room.
AJ walked into the waiting room with a smile on his face.
"Well..." Nick said, "Are you two back together?"
AJ nodded yes.
All the guys congratulated him.
"Hey Kev" AJ said, "I need to talk to you."
AJ took Kevin aside and said, "Since your Dad's dead, I can't ask him this. So, I guess I should ask you."
AJ whispered something in Kevin's ear.
Kevin smiled, "Of course you can!"
AJ walked back into Adrianne's room and stared at her.
"Hi baby." Adrianne said, "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
AJ pulled a small black box out of his pocket and got down on one knee.
"I love you more than anything in this world. Adrianne Marie Richardson, will you marry me?"
